Blue Economy and cooperation Italia - IORA: sea transport and de-carbonization
Rome is a diplomatic nerve centre for international relations.
The 2019 edition of Rome's Festival della Diplomazia offers a nine-day programme of seminars and meetings addressing geopolitics and the crucial role of international diplomatic activity, with events taking place across Rome from 16-25 October.
Under the heading The two faces of Giano - The Transition to a New World, the tenth edition of Festival della Diplomazia examines the role of diplomacy in relation to three central themes: the challenge of governance; the dictatorship of algorithms; and the parable of growth.
The festival, the only such event in the world dedicated to diplomacy and international relations, will provide an overview on the current global scenario through the testimonies and opinions of some of the greatest national and international experts, with many of the talks conducted in English.
The 2019 includes titles such as Has a New Cold War Really Begun? (21 Oct); Brexit & the Commonwealth: threats and opportunities. A new era for international trade agreements? (22 Oct); A World Cup of Spies (22 Oct); and Trent’anni di Europa dalla caduta del Muro a Brexit (25 Oct).
